Poet and workshop facilitator. Angela was born in Abergavenny, and educated at UCW Cardiff and University of London. She has a certification in Social Work and a Diploma in Applied Social Studies. Angela has worked for Social Services departments as a social worker and social work practice teacher. She took early retirement and completed an Open University course in Romantic Poetry. Angela won first prize in 1999 Yorkshire Open Poetry competition. Her other awards include Writers Group Prize and the Cardiff Open Poetry Competition. Angela’s workshop venues include Brecon, Crickhowell, Cardiff, Llandrindod Wells, Ystradgynlais, Inverness, Southampton and London.
Her work has appeared in several publications including Poetry Wales, New Welsh Review, The Interpreter’s House, Scintilla, One Voice, OU Poets (anthology), Beyond Bedlam. Her play, The Search for Tommy Jones was performed at Theatr Bryncheiniog in July 2000.
