Novelist, poet and translator. Welsh speaker. Christopher was born in Tredegar in 1954, and educated in Tredegar, Aberystwyth and Swansea. He has won the Eric Gregory Award in 1984, Welsh Arts Council Young Writer’s Prize in 1985 and the Welsh Arts Council Fiction Prize in 1989. He is a Reader in Creative Writing at University of Glamorgan and has published three volumes of poetry, three novels, two books for children and one translation of a novel from Welsh. Christopher has also had poems, reviews, articles and stories published in various magazines and anthologies. His collection of poems, The Meaning of Flight (Seren, 2005), was on the Wales Book of the Year 2006 Long List.
