Author of 14 published books, including fiction, teenage fiction, non–fiction and poetry. Jean is an experienced writer-in-residence with people of all ages and abilities/ disabilities, working alone or in collaboration with other writers or artists. She has edited and published writing produced during workshops. Readings/ workshops can sometimes be organised during her trips back to south Wales. Contact her well in advance of any event and she'll see what she can manage.
'Crystal Balls' was shortlisted for the Cinnamon Press Novella Award 2007 and Jean won the Writers Inc Writers of the Year Competition 2008 in the Writing For Children [8-12 years] category with her story 'The Big Issue' and gained 2nd place in the Journalism section for her piece, 'The Dog that Cries ‘Wolf!’'.
