Geographer, traveller and frequent broadcaster who is the author of four Welsh books, one English book and many articles on the environment. Born in Rhiwfawr in the upper Tawe valley, educated University College of Wales Swansea. Head of department – Llandovery College and Maesydderwen School, Ystradgynlais. Headmaster Ysgol y Gader Dolgellau and Local History tutor Adult Continuing Education Department, University of Wales, Swansea.
