Poet and raconteur. Born Liverpool 1921, Harry settled in the Cardiff Docks 55 years ago. He worked as a seaman and then as boundary rider, caretaker, smuggler, etc. Harry began his professional writing career composing two–bob verses for harlots in sailor ports of the world, and then wrote for Dave Allen, The Two Ronnies and other television comedy shows. Harry was a regular correspondent for the Associated British Ports PORTS magazine and writes sentimental sonnets, dirty ditties and comic verses of everyday folk.
