Group Aims

Founded in March 1990. The aim of the group is to support and encourage writers in their craft. There is a range of experience within the group from hobby to published writers. Members share their work, at meetings, offering and receiving constructive feedback.
Annual awards held in the categories: poetry, light verse, short fiction and non-fiction, and adjudicated by a professional writer. Trophies and certificates are presented at an annual dinner.
The group are members of NAWG - The National Association of Writers' Groups - and our anthology 'Athena' has been short-listed in the annual competitions for members.
