| Editorial policy: Their goal is to publish the best books of literary fiction and poetry we can find, whether they be written by established authors or unknown talent. They believe that the creation of literary culture is a worthwhile activity, and that writers should be rewarded for their efforts. To this end, they offer their writers a favorable twenty-five percent royalty. | |
| Submission of manuscripts: They are actively searching for high standard book-length and chapbook manuscripts | |
| Any other information: Although they are new, Rager Media have signed contracts with a distinguished list of authors, many of whom have been editors of notable US literary magazines, such as The Georgia Review, Kenyon Review, New England Review and Field. Their books have been reviewed in Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, Commentary, The Jewish Week, The Villager, and others. Poetry titles forthcoming from Rager Media include books by some of the most important and acclaimed poets of Australia for the "Australian Poetry in America Series," edited and selected by series editor John Kinsella, who is also the international editor of The Kenyon Review. Rager will also publish a reissue of T.R. Hummer’s widely acclaimed Walt Whitman in Hell, originally published by Louisiana State University Press, as well as Peter Porter’s book The Cost of Seriousness, originally published by Oxford University Press. Other poets appearing under the Rager imprint include: Madeleine Mysko, Douglas Basford, Gig Ryan, Joshua Gage, John Forbes, Dorothy Hewett, Dave Materna, and many others.
