One of the best-loved and most revered of Arabic poets, Mahmoud Darwish’s work reaches out to and is read by millions worldwide. To celebrate the life and work of this extraordinarily talented man Gillian Clarke, and five other international poets – John Agard, Simon Armitage, Imtiaz Dharker, Carol Ann Duffy and Grace Nichols – will read poems chosen to reflect the key themes of Darwish’s writing alongside some of their own work. 8.00 pm - 9.30 pm
