“One little pig went to market.
One little pig stayed at home.
One little pig ate roast beef.
One little piggy went wee, wee, wee, all the way home!

Once upon a time there were four little pigs. That’s right, 4 four little pigs, not 3 three little pigs but 4 four!

It was a very long, long time ago.

The four little pigs lived in a lovely house, with lots of flowers growing in the garden, in Blaenavon. Their names were:

Ginger,
Sausage,
Burger,
and Poppy.

One day Ginger said “I am going to market. Who would like to come along?”

Sausage said “I think I will stay at home today.”

Burger said “I think I will do some cooking today.”

Poppy said “I think I will go on an adventure today.”

Stories and Play is part of the ‘Age of Iron’ project, instigated by Literature Wales with Groundwork Wales, Cadw and Torfaen County Borough Council, with funding from Communities First.
