The 2017 Cardiff Children’s Lit Fest returns next spring from 25 March – 2 April and after celebrating Dahl’s centenary last year, Cardiff is looking forward to more book-tastic fun.

Cardiff Children’s Lit Fest 2016 was the most successful year yet with in excess of 5000 ticket sold for over 50 events running across two jam-packed weekends. Cardiff Children’s Lit Fest 2017 will be even better! The event has continued to grow over the years and will again run across two weekends.Once again, authors and illustrators will be making their words and pictures come to life with amazing tales and performances featuring a cast of wonderful characters.

The festival is ideal for all those who love children’s books and will welcome Roald Dahl Funny Prize winner Andy Stanton, festival favourite David Solomons, Hugless Douglas creator David Melling, picture book author and illustrators Chris Haughton, Rob Biddulph, BBC’s Mike Dilger, Clara Vulliamy, Huw Aaron, Anni Llŷn (Welsh Children’s Poet Laureate), Manon Steffan Ros and celebrated local author Jenny Nimmo, to name but a few.

There will be plenty of writing workshops and story telling sessions. There will be opportunities to dance, enjoy a one-man pirate show and take part in a family quiz. There will be something for everyone.
