British Council: Art Connects Us – 11 February

The British Council is aiming to increase connections between the UK literature sector and young writers and literature professionals in Sub-Saharan Africa.


Hippocrates Prize for Poetry & Medicine – 14 February/ 1 March

The Hippocrates Prize for Poetry and Medicine is an annual international award for an unpublished poem on a medical subject. Poets over 18 years of age apply for the main prize, poets aged 14-18 apply for the Young Poets Prize.


Pocket Poetry Pamphlets – 25 February

Paper Swans Press is looking for submissions for their next poetry pamphlet, on the topic of Suffrage.


Wonderbox Publishing Call for Digital Fiction – 15 March

Wonderbox Publishing, with Bangor University, is sponsoring the second annual competition to discover digital fiction that appeals to mainstream audiences. Welsh or English entries welcome.

Book Award for independent and self-published titles. All genres


The Lampeter Review – 14 April
