There will be an opportunity for companies and organisations who have a presence on the Maes to apply for funding to hold various literary activities for audiences from all ages and backgrounds. We will support performances, talks, workshops, residential periods and much more.
The initiative is split into two parts:
Part 1 – individual applications between £50 – £100
(the fee reflects up to 100% of the writers costs to participate in activities for up to 2 hours)
Part 2 – individual applications up to £400
(the fee reflects up to 100% of the writer(s) cost to participate in a wider project
e.g. Creative residence on a stall for a day / week, or an outreach project leading up to the Eisteddfod)
The closing date for applications is Saturday 24 June.
Advice for Organisers
We welcome applications from a variety of organisations, but for Part 2, a priority is given to those who work mainly beyond the literature sector. We especially welcome applications which reflect or celebrate: Anglesey’s heritage; Year of Legends; contemporary Welsh literature; wellbeing and literature including health and social justice.
We invite organisers to contact Literature Wales to discuss their application beforehand. We can provide advice and ideas on the proposed event as well as suggestions for suitable writers for the event.

Invitation to Writers
We invite writers to get in touch if they are interested in holding events during the Eisteddfod. We look forward to hearing your ideas, and to keep a record of your availability during the week in order to provide quick and correct advice to organisations to ensure arrangements happen as easy as possible.
