Literature Wales Constitution

Yr Academi Gymreig is the registered charity for Literature Wales.

The organisation, which includes Ty Newydd Writers’ Centre, has a Chief Executive, sixteen full–time staff, four part-time members of staff and four fieldworkers. It is governed by a Management Board which is drawn from the writing community, from partner bodies, local authorities, the media and the commercial world. Board membership is for three years and members are elected or confirmed by the annual general meeting. The Board has joint chairs. In addition to the Management Board, the Welsh Academy / Yr Academi Gymreig has a Membership Committee formed specifically to look after members’ affairs. This Committee has two sections (one for each language) and is also elected by the Society’s annual general meeting.
