Welsh Publishers Short-listed
for London Festival Fringe Award


The London Festival Fringe New Poetry Award is a new award which celebrates and recognises the best first poetry collections. Following nominations of over 70 titles for the award, the shortlist has been announced and includes Insensible Heart by Maureen Jivani, published by Cardiff-based publisher Mulfran Press, plus three titles from Bridgend based publisher Seren Books: Inroads by Carolyn Jess-Cooke, The Tethers by Carrie Etter and Berg by Hilary Menos.
The award is organised by London Festival Fringe 2010 in conjunction with Cegin Productions and Coffee-House Poetry at the Troubadour. Judges for the prize are Tamar Yoseloff, Daljit Nagra and Adam O’Riordan.
The winner will be announced on Monday 16 August at 7.00 pm at Pizza Express Jazz Club, Soho. The £2,500 award will be presented at an Awards Ceremony on Thursday 26 August at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel in London.
