Friday 9 - Sunday 11 April 2010
Gillian Clarke, John Barnie, Menna Elfyn and Paul Henry are all set to take part in the first ever Wenlock Poetry Festival in the Shropshire town of Much Wenlock from 9 to 11 April. Gillian, John and Menna will share a platform on Saturday 10 April, giving readings and hosting a group discussion. Paul Henry will read on the following day.
The Wenlock Poetry Festival is supported by two laureate poets – Gillian Clarke and Carol Ann Duffy. “We’re looking forward to a magnificent fusion of Welsh and English poetic traditions,” says festival organiser, Anna Dreda of Wenlock Books.
