The Italian Job

Academi presents two evenings of Italian poetry in December as we welcome two Italian translators to Wales.  Andrea Bianchi and Silvana Siviero are a husband and wife team of translators who have been instrumental in bringing Welsh writing to an Italian audience through their work on a series for Mobydick publishers. For this series, they also collaborated with Welsh-language writers and various editors with knowledge of Italian to translate Welsh-language literature into Italian. They will read alongside some of the writers whose work they have translated, a long list of great Welsh writers which also includes Dannie Abse, Gwyneth Lewis, and Caradog Prichard.
