Young Storyteller of Wales Festival 2010

The Young Storyteller of Wales Festival is inviting entries from Young Storytellers living in Wales to tell traditional stories (maximum duration 5 minutes) in Welsh or English or bilingually.  This is the fourth annual celebration of young storytellers between 8 and 18 years old held in Wales. No experience is necessary and storytellers may perform as individuals, in a pair, or a group of three. All competitors will be judged by a panel of judges in one of 3 age categories: 8 to 11; 12 to 14; or 15 to 18 years old.

Prizes will be awarded to winners and all entrants will receive a certificate for taking part. Prizes have been donated by Courtyard Books of Llangollen. The winner over 15 years old will become Young Storyteller of Wales 2010, and will represent Wales at The Young Storyteller of the Year Award on 13 March in Birmingham (with travel expenses paid).
