Poems and Pints Night

Gartholwg Lifelong Learning Centre are hosting their first Poems and Pints night on Friday 25 September with guest readings from established Welsh poets Hilary Llewellyn-Williams, Meic Stephens, Clare Potter and John Evans who will also introduce the evening.
In addition to the readings from Meic, Hilary, John and Clare there will also be an opportunity for budding poets to read their work as part of the ‘open mic’ session. To book your slot contact Samantha Chamberlain on 01443 219589.
For the more reserved writers who don’t wish to step into the limelight quite yet there will be an opportunity to compete in a light hearted limerick competition.
Events officer Samantha Chamberlain said “This Poems and Pints evening will be a fantastic opportunity for up and coming poets to share a stage with some of Wales’ most recognised poets”.
