Agenda

In May this year poetry journal Agenda published a Welsh Issue, packed with poetry, interviews and essays from some of the most recognised names in Welsh literature. Agenda is one of the best known and most highly respected poetry journals in the world, having been founded in 1959 by Ezra Pound and William Cookson. It is currently edited by Patricia McCarthy.

The Welsh Issue includes new poems in Welsh and English by Mererid Hopwood and Menna Elfyn plus poems by Robert Minhinnick, Sheenagh Pugh, Tony Curtis, Christine Evans, Duncan Bush, Paul Henry, Dannie Abse, John Barnie, Gwyneth Lewis, Pascale Petit, Tiffany Atkinson, Zoë Brigley, Zoë Skoulding, Ian Gregson and Richard Gwyn to name only a few.

There are also essays and interviews with National Poet of Wales Gillian Clarke and Zoë Brigley along with poetry from Agenda’s two chosen young Broadsheet poets Anna Lewis and Meirion Jordan.
